about us
Together, we can support one another and uplift our spirits through the pure voices of our children.
The idea for this Sefer Tehillim was born from the sorrow of losing children at a young age, driven by the hope that their pure prayers could help prevent future tragedies. The very first edition of “Prayers of the Pure,” published in 2011, was dedicated to Rae Doueck A”H, Rachel bat Altoon A”H, by her devoted family. They believed this Sefer Tehillim perfectly represented Rae’s spirit, reflecting her deep faith and appreciation for the teachings found in each chapter.
As demand grew, a second edition was published in 2013, emphasizing the importance of every child having their own Sefer for prayer. This need resonated strongly within the community, leading all the Rabbis in our schools in Brooklyn, Deal, and beyond to incorporate this Sefer Tehillim into their curricula. By embracing this resource, our unity is solidified; we are ONE PEOPLE, ONE COMMUNITY.
Moreover, it is significant that when Hashem sought a guarantor to ensure the people of B’nei Yisrael would uphold the laws of the Torah, He turned to the children. It is through their merit that we can preserve Torah in the world. Thus, this movement not only honors the memory of beloved children but also strengthens our collective commitment to faith and community.
As our community has grown exponentially over the years, it is our goal to double the number of Sefer Tehillim from our last publication. We want to connect our children to one another and help them remain united within the community. In light of recent tragedies, the need for connection and prayer is greater than ever. Together, we can support one another and uplift our spirits through the pure voices of our children.”
